YUMMY TOKYO: Yummiest Ramen at Affordable Price

Menu

My love for ramen is undeniable. I eat it when I'm sad and I eat it when I'm happy! Since my visit to Japan is not happening anytime soon, I was on the search for affordable yet authentic ramen near the metro that could solve my cravings!

This July, me and my friends of #SaanSaPH visited Yummy Tokyo, Maginhawa to try their yummiest ramen noodles at affordable prices.

YUMMY TOKYO
Yummy Tokyo is an authentic Japanese restaurant serving ramen, onigiri, and gyoza with a local twist. They focus on different ramen variants made famous by the different provinces in Japan. From their noodles to their broths, they create everything from scratch which makes every ramen meal special.

The staff of Yummy Tokyo has prepared all the ramen variants for us to taste!

Miso Ramen and Unli Ramen Challenge

FLAVORFUL RAMEN

Miso & Spicy Miso Ramen
These are Yummy Tokyo's bestsellers. Both ramen have miso as the base soup hence the name. These ramen noodles originated in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Miso Ramen was indead creamy and satisfying! It was served with a slice of chasui and half aji tamago.
Miso Ramen
Tantanmen Ramen
Another Yummy Tokyo bestseller is the Tantanmen ramen. It originated in China but was also adopted by Northern Japan. Its base is a combination of spicy miso, peanut, and sesame and topped with a slice of chasui and half aji tamago. It also has a slight spicy kick which is perfect for those wanting a little spicy flavor in their ramen.

Cold Ramen
Cold ramen came from Tokyo and Honshu. This would be my first time trying this ramen and it was palatable! It was a unique taste and the combination of corn and cucumber with the shoyu soup complemented each other. I also loved that they used chicken strips for this!

Tonkotsu Ramen
This kind of ramen originated in Fukuoka and Kyushu with pork bones as its base broth topped with a slice of chasui and half aji tamago. I have such great expectation for their Tonkotsu since it is my favorite kind of ramen. I can say that I would recommend trying it as well!
Spicy Miso Ramen
Seafood Ramen
The seafood Ramen came from Nagasaki with scallops as its base soup with toppings of cabbage strips, sticks, Kani sticks, and narutomaki. I enjoyed the scallop-based soup!

Curry Ramen
Aomori and Honshu's curry ramen also has miso as its base mixed with curry with toppings of chasui and half aji tamago. Same with the Seafood ramen, it was my first time trying this kind of ramen. It has a distinct flavor and if you're feeling adventurous with your ramen, don't miss this!

Shoyu Ramen
Shoyu also originated in Tokyo and Honshu with shoyu base soup. It is savory salty topped with narutomaki, chasui and half aji tamago.
Shoyu Ramen
YUMMY TOKYO'S MAKE-AT-HOME RAMEN KITS
I love ramen and I would definitely hoard some of these! I can have ramen whenever I want with these ramen kits. These ramen can last up to a month as long as you keep it in the freezer.

YUMMY TOKYO'S UNLIMITED RAMEN
This would be my first time hearing unlimited ramen! You can have any flavor on the menu! You can enjoy this with unlimited time. From broth, noodles, and topping-- fill your heart and stomach with all the ramen you can eat.

YUMMY TOKYO RAMEN CHALLENGE
Starting July 16, 2019, they will hold the Unli Ramen Challenge: finish all ramen bowls within 2 hours and it is free! The challengers will have to pick a number in a bowl to determine how many bowls of ramen they need to eat. Choices are 5, 6, 7 or 8 bowls of any flavors they prefer. You're lucky if you get 5!
