Bali is known as the island of the gods. It can be seen through their architecture, their clothing as well as their actions and norms. Religion for them is very important.
We visited 3 temples in a day: Tanah Lot, Taman Ayun Temple and Pura Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. These three temples are a must-see in Bali.
TANAH LOT
It is ideal to visit Tanah Lot and witness the sunset here. The temple is situated on a big rock on the shore.
TAMAN AYUN TEMPLE
The Taman Ayun Temple is what they call, a Beautiful Garden Temple. unique since it was a dedicated to the Mengwi royalties, it is now opened for visiting. The temple sits on a small pond which gives it a floating effect.
PURA ULUN DANU BERATAN TEMPLE
This temple was breathtaking. It was the farthest among the three. The temple is located within the mountains so the temperature was cooler. The temple sits on lake Beratan giving a background water, mountains and fog.
Although many tourists visited the temple, the place still gives a serene and calm feeling.
OTHER MUST-VISIT TEMPLES IN BALI:
Uluwatu temple the temple on a cliff. Late afternoon to evening is the best time to visit this temple. Spend the sunset here and wait for the evening Kekak Dance.
Besakih temple is the biggest temple in Bali and the most important. It is called the Mother Temple. It sits along the Mount Agung. It is one of the picturesque temples of Bali.
